Services include (but are not limited to) feeding, exercising, grooming, providing company, monitoring health, administering medications or other special care. Less commonly, pet sitters offer live-in care which can also include the service of house sitting and property maintenance.

Understand that as a pet sitter, you are going to have times that you feel overwhelmed, stressed out or just dog-tired…it's normal! But, always keep in mind why you began pet sitting in the first place. Most likely, your love for animal and desire to be your own boss were driving factors.

A “Hobby” Pet Sitter: -May not be thorough (no contracts, written communication etc.). -May like pets but has not pursued any ongoing education, certification etc. -Offers pet care as a side gig for side cash not as their primary job.
